- Edging
- Difference between Aluminum and Steel?
- • Steel is more for commercial applications. It is very heavy, will rust and has a sharp edge. The aluminum products are for residential and commercial applications. It is light, flexible, durable, has a rounded top, will not corrode and is designed for professional or do-it-yourselfers.

- Lengths
- • There are 8' and 16' lengths.
- Thicknesses
- • There are 1/8" and 3/16" thicknesses.
- Heights
- • There are 4", 5.5", and 8" heights.
- Pack sizes
- • 1/8" thickness: The standard pack sizes are 80' (8' box), 120' (8' box) and 240' (16' box).
- • 3/16" thickness: the standard box size is 80' (8' box) or 160' (16' box).
- Retail Stores/Distributors
- Are there any retail locations or distributors in my area?
- • Although there aren't any distributors in your area we can ship to your door free all 8' boxes of aluminum edging, as well as lighting and paver restraints.
- Safety
- Is the aluminum edging sharp?
- • No. the aluminum edging is not sharp. In fact, it has a rounded top so people can actually step on it without a sharp edge. No need to worry about kids.
- Water or salt conditions
- Will the edging corrode or withstand water?
- • No. The aluminum edging will not rust or corrode.
- Fading
- • The color of your edging will not fade overtime.
- Painted Finish
- Can the painted edging withstand weedwacker?
- • Yes. The aluminum edging is painted with a durable paint that will last for years and is manufactured and tested to withstand weedwacking?
- Painted Colors
- Use in Driveways
- What thickness do you recommend for a driveway?
- • We recommend the 3/16 edging as you can drive over the top without damage.
- Edging Thicknesses
- I don't know what to order. The 1/8 or 3/16?
- • 1/8" is recommended for residential gardens, walking paths, tree rings. The 3/16" is recommended for high traffic areas such as driveways, restaurants, etc.
- Colors
- What colors does the edging come in?
- • Green paint, Brown paint, black paint, black anodized (electrostatically treated), or mill (natural silver finish)
- Black Anodized
- What is black anodized edging?
- • This is an additional manufacturing process where the black color is "etched" into the aluminum. This is our premium product.
- Cutting
- How do I cut it?
- • Cut from the bottom up with a hack saw so you don't scratch the top should you slip. A skill saw with a blade for metal cutting works well too.
- Stakes
- How long are the stakes?
- • The standard stake is 12" in length and is made from reinforced aluminum. We also offer 18" stakes at an added price.
- Are stakes included?
- • Yes stakes are included with all edging boxes.
- How are the stakes installed?
- • The stakes slide through stake pockets punched out in the side of the edging. They slide through the stake pockets and then are hammered into the ground
- End Stake adapters
- How many come in a box?
- What are they used for?
- • Wherever you begin or terminate, you slide one of the four included end stake adapters on to the edging piece and a stake slides through the end stake adapter. The stake is then hammered into the ground securing the beginning or end of the edging run.
- Partial box order
- Can I order partial boxes?
- • Yes. This is considered a special order and can't be completed through the internet. There is a $20 broken pack fee for organizing a partial shipment, but you must order more than one complete box and then add the partial.
- Installation Instructions
- Are there installation instructions?
- • Yes. The installation instructions can be found in the "Info Center" at YardProduct.com. Also, the instructions will be sent with the order.
- Sturdy
- Is the edging sturdy?
- • Yes, the edging is sturdy but is flexible. It will bend to allow for nice curves or paths or outlining a garden but is sturdy and will hold its shape for years?
- Angles
- How do I make a 90 degree bend?
- • Yes. Many contractors use a 4 X 4 piece of wood and bend the aluminum around the wood to hold the 90 degree angle then back fill the trench with dirt to secure.
- Beginning or End of Edging run
- How is the beginning or end secured in the ground?
- • Wherever you begin or terminate, you slide one of the four included end stake adapters on to the edging piece and a stake slides through the end stake adapter. The stake is then hammered into the ground securing the beginning or end of the edging run.
- Shipping Delivery
- How long will it take to delivery?

• Approximately 3 days for FedEx shipments (8' boxes) and 3-5 days for LTL shipments (16' boxes)
- Will I receive tracking information?
- • Yes. You will receive the tracking information the following day by way of email.
- Do you delivery same day?
- • We keep a full stock of inventory. If you place an order before 2pm EST, your order will ship the same day, depending on order volume. If after 2pm EST, your order will ship next day.
- How much does shipping cost?
- • Free for 8' and 16' boxes of edging, paver restraints and lighting. Edging accessory orders without an edging box carry a $9.99 shipping charge. See the shipping page for more details.
- Where is my shipment?
- • You can either enter your tracking information at FedEx.com, odfl.com for freight, or we can find the delivery information for you.
